Projects

In this page you will find a selection of my university projects related to Luxury, Marketing and the Fashion industry. I hope you enjoy.

1. Start your own Fashion Label - with Alison Lowe

This was an individual project wherein I implemented the skills taught by Alison Lowe to create a functional London based fashion label in a span of three months. Along with coming up with a concept for the label, I had to work on the financial forecasts of the brand for 3 years, the mood and inspiration board for the label, the customer profiling, the SWOT and PESTLE analysis of the brand, etc. For this project i decided to create a regency-contemporary clothing brand called Elysian as regency fashion is on trend in the market currently. Elysian is a brand that embodies the designs and luxe of the regency era along with a modern touch. The aesthetics of the brand was maintained as royal, luxe and extravagant taking inspiration from 18th century clothing and Greek styles. For our evaluation, we had to pitch our brand in 3 minutes to our peers and try to raise as much investment as possible. In this task, I managed to raise £8000 from my peers (although this money was just hypothetical). This was a very insightful and engaged project and I learned a lot by working on it.

2. United Nations Sustainability Development Goals

This was an individual project in which our topic was to work on UN's sustainability development goals. The topic assigned to me was to 'promote the use of recycled materials in the luxury industry'. For this I chose to propose the idea of using the H&M Looop machine which takes in used/unwanted clothes and recycles it to provide a new piece of clothing. My intention was to add to this machine a 3D printing device which prints contemporary designs onto the clothing and makes it more suitable for the fashion and luxury industry. This clothing can then be further recycled by separating the 3D and textile parts and reused which helps in complete recycling with zero percent wastage.

3. Unio - Airpod Earrings

For our Transforming Early Makers project (the final and biggest project of our first semester), my cohorts and I proposed the creation of 'Unio' - a luxury tech accessories brand, mainly focusing on Airpod earrings. For this project, we started from the scratch and in 2 months time we built a brand with our ideas. We also developed the marketing strategies for the brand, the finance reports of the brand and we gave an elevator pitch to potential investors. My team received 'Special Prize' award for this concept. This was a very challenging and fun experience.

4. Salesforce X Fenty Beauty

In this project, my cohorts and I performed an in-depth research of Fenty Beauty and how Salesforce is aiding the brand to become more customer friendly as well as drive the sales of the brand. We also came up with a few strategies that Fenty Beauty can incorporate within Salesforce to solve real time issues that the buyer is facing. The evaluation was conducted as a competition and my team bagged the 2nd prize in my batch.

5. Recycling of Old Leather Jacket

In this project, my cohorts and I used an old leather jacket to make a leather card holder using techniques of laser cutting (for cutting the leather) and 3D printing (for the latch in the closing mechanism). This was a very informative project as I learnt to use various new softwares such as tinkercad as well as the knowledge of the use of 3D printers and laser cutters.
